Haskell Agency's present owner (Jorge VicuÑa) is a real estate broker licensed by
the South Dakota Real Estate Commission to sell and manage real estate in all of
South Dakota. Our specialty is farm and ranch properties. Occasionally represent
rural residential properties. We handle normal and 1031 exchanges. We normally represent seller's
properties by exclusive listing . Other arrangements can be made for specific situations.
We can also represent properties under; sealed bid, silent, or limited auction. Our
preference has been, however, the straight listing and have successfully attained
comparable prices with out the exposure intrinsic to the auction process.
We also do consultations, such as opinions of price for a fee. These opinions of price
are of a restrictive nature since they are not valid in federally related transactions
( secondary financing market). They are practical for estate matters or simply to
gain a better idea about the value of a rural property. If we deem it necessary, we
can refer the inquiry to the accredited appraiser members of the
ASFMRA or hire one at the request of a client.
We assume most of the selling expenses and handle all the paper work including the
hiring of attorneys to prepare deeds and title opinions as may be necessary. We also
have real estate and farm management trust accounts at an FDIC insured institution,
duly registered with the Internal Revenue Service. These accounts are used to hold the
clients funds in the course of business until completion of the transactions.
We have sold over the years many thousands of acres in clean, transparent transactions
without ever generating a complaint or dispute of any significance. References available
