Experience:
1975-1978 Managed 8,000 acre ranch east of San Fernando, Chile. Recovered farm seized
by socialist government, restored neglected infrastructure and laid foundation for
existing operations. Main enterprises were; grazing leases, irrigated row crops, timber, fire wood, and beekeeping. Supervised five employees, several sharecroppers, and
grazing lessees.
1978-1983 Northrup King Co., Export Correspondent. Started as an export clerk, promoted
to sales correspondent. Dealt primarily with South America and serviced initial correspondence
and sampling new prospects for rest of the world. Also translated corporate correspondence to Spanish subsidiaries and clients and hosted research
and commercial guest to the company's research facilities. Traveled to Texas and
South America on company's business.
1983-1985 Several temporary Ag. related jobs in Huron S. Dakota.
Worked as a seed
and feed salesman for Cook Seed, did mechanical and cattle work for a local farmer.
1985 to 2001; Haskell-Tompkins-Haskell Co., a family owned corporation dealing
with cattle and lands. Started as bookkeeper and office manager. Promoted to farm
manager and general manager in 1986.
1987 to present. Haskell Agency, specialized farm and ranch real estate agency.
Farm Manager with ownership interest.
1989 to May 1993 Real Estate Salesman associated with A.M. Haskell Jr. Broker.
1993 to Present South Dakota Real Estate Broker and sole owner of Haskell Agency.
Presently manage properties in three counties in east central South Dakota.
